Opening an Account

Opening a new bank account is a simple procedure, all you need to do is complete a New Account Form and return it along with the required documents.

As soon as your completed application has been processed, which usually takes five working days, we will send you a letter confirming your London Account Number. This London Account Number is our primary means of reference and should be quoted on all correspondence with us and on any payments you, or a third party, send to us for transfer on your behalf.

Once you open a new account with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia you will be able to take advantage of our highly competitive foreign exchange rates.
