What currencies are available?

Your loan can be denominated in the currency you earn, or in Australian dollars(AUD). Available currencies are:

  • Great British Pounds (GBP)
  • Euro (EUR)
  • New Zealand Dollars (NZD)
  • United States Dollars (USD)

Can I borrow to purchase properties to countries other than Australia?

No. The Australia Residential Property Loan (ARPL) is only available to purchase Australian residential property.

How much can I borrow?

Australian dollar loans: Up to 80% of the value of the property used as security.

Foreign currency loans: Up to 75% of the value of the property, used as security.

The borrower must be able to demonstrate their ability to meet all of their financial commitments. Borrowing limit will be determined for each borrower and is dependent on their circumstances and the value of the security.

Please note: Property value is determined by a valuation.

What is the maximum term for the loan?

For principal and interest loans, up to 25 years. For interest only loans, up to 10 years.

What repayments options are available?

Payments can be made on a monthly, quarterly or six monthly basis. Lump sum payments can be made without penalty provided they are in accordance with your payment schedule.
